Zona 1 mcc is going green...

Don't panic, this isn't a message to say that we are only accepting electric bikes or you have to drive a Prius... !
The club has been looking at ways to encourage young riders on 50cc Autos/Oset electric bikes, or those older riders that are just starting out, and give them an easier and less daunting introduction to the great sport of Trials.
What we are going to do is introduce a new route at our events, known as the green route (Have a guess why?.. yes green markers!) Those of you that have been to Zona 1 mcc events will know that we already have a good Sportsman route and the new green route will be set out easier, both in terms of challenge and also ease of navigation.

So spread the word around that no matter what age or ability, the Zona 1 mcc will be putting on events to suit all.

Race Techniques Trial

It was nice to see such a good turnout or riders, especially as the Temp gauge said it was minus 4.5 degrees C just before the start time!!!
In any other conditions the sections may have been considered on the easy side but as can be seen from the scores the Clerks of the course were spot on.
The riders at least had the benefit of movement and warm exhausts to keep them from freezing, a special mention and huge thanks must go to all the observers who could do little to keep warm other than pace up and down their sections stamping feet and clapping hands!!

Zona One Marking
At the moment we mark as the original system ie red/blue being the standard hard route the Clubman route where it deviates from the standard route marked with white markers and the Sportsman route deviations marked with yellow markers.

From Jan 2011 we will be adopting the western centre guideline marking, ie the clubman route will be marked with red/blue markers The hard route will be marked with white markers where it deviates from the Clubman route ie red/blue and the Sportsman route marked with yellow markers.
We are doing this because we are running a Centre Championship round and consider it appropriate that we run all our trials under this system.

Please note that we do not Necessarily agree with this way of marking
